Didn't work for me, project still says I don't have VT Enabled even though Task Manager & BIOS says it's Enabled. I'm not even getting any work on the lone Box that was getting work previously but I noticed the Project didn't have any work to send late last night.

(Message 75) Posted 19 Sep 2023 by STE\/E Post: Leomoon says my AMD CPU Laptop that VT is Supported & Enabled but it has never got a Wu from here. Uspex thinks that laptop doesn't support VT - "CPU does not have hardware virtualization support". Mine say "CPU has hardware virtualization support and it is enabled", suggesting if you had it but hadn't turned it on, it would say "CPU has hardware virtualization support but it is not enabled". But it's wrong, that CPU does have it, although AMD call it "AMD-V". Does Leomoon understand AMD chips? Have you found and enabled AMD-V in the BIOS? If you can connect it to LHC, what's it's opinion? The 2 Sager Laptops show that VT is supported but not enabled. I e-mailed Sager to ask them about it. The only thing in the BIOS I can find is a reference to VT-d & it is enabled. Not sure if that even has anything to do with Virtual Machine. Yes, VT-d is what I turned on in all my Intel machines. Sager told me to use the Task Manager, select Performance & the CPU Performance will come up, both Sager Laptops say Virtualization Enabled. So it's enabled in the BIOS under VT-d & the Task Manager says Virtualization Enabled but Leomoon says it isn't ... Weird, not much else I can do ... All 3 Box's don't get work from LHC or LHC Dev either, doesn't really give any specific reason just doesn't give them work ...

You said "I don't worry about getting work from either of those projects", yet you managed to get a dev account. I run LHC regulary on 12 machines, yet I don't get dev. No idea where to even ask. I joined the lhc-dev project years ago, probably before some of you even started to run BOINC ... should be able to join here ... https://lhcathomedev.cern.ch/lhcathome-dev/

(Message 47) Posted 18 Sep 2023 by STE\/E Post: In the features list, make sure that Hyper-V and Windows Hypervisor Platform are both disabled. They can both be useful tools in some situations, but they interfere with VirtualBox. You might have to reboot for the changes to take effect.. Didn't show Hyper-V & Windows Hypervisor Platform was already unchecked. I already had VBox 7 installed, so nothing changed, still can't get work on those Box's ,,, Thanks

Not much, they just don't give me any work. I don't worry about getting work from either of those projects since it seems you have to hump thru 20 different hoops to get your box's to run their Wu's. Do other projects say you don't have it on? It's turned on, says VT Enabled, nothing more I can do. Config file is set to 0 for V_Box also ...

(Message 23) Posted 17 Sep 2023 by STE\/E Post: I see this on 3 of my Box's that I think should be getting work from the project but they don't "Virtualization Virtualbox (7.0.6) installed, CPU does not have hardware virtualization support" I'm not sure if thatis telling me I don't have VT Enabled which I do because I've checked several times on those Box's or that the CPU actually don't support VT ... I've checked online & those CPU are supposed to support it so not really sure why they get that line for VT ... Could be because they are Laptops, but the lone Box I do get work on is a laptop too ...

I have 7 Box's attached but only 1 of them gets any work, and even then only if I shut off any other work & do a manual update. All the box's have at least 8 to 64 GB of Memory. Even if I shut off work on the other Box's they simply won't download any work from this Project just the same box will ... Thanks
